Former member of the singing and dancing girl group, Zhao Huishan (aka C.), will present her fourth solo exhibition, 'Fluttering Wishes', at the Harbour City Museum of Art from 27 February to 22 March.
This exhibition continues the artist's signature style of black, white, and gold needle pen art, using delicate lines and contrasting colors to create a series of poetic visual landscapes. The exhibition also features local cross-disciplinary artist Li Aiji as the curator. In addition to showcasing Aka C.'s signature needle pen works on paper, the exhibition will also debut a new series of her works created with different canvases and paints, as well as 12 new paintings that merge fortune cats with the 12 Chinese zodiac signs, with limited-edition art reproductions available for purchase.
The exhibition will also feature a deep cross-disciplinary collaboration with the renowned high-end lighting brand KOFFA, which will soon launch two co-branded table lamps designed by Aka C. herself. For the first time, a unique large-scale lighting art installation, 'Also Known As', will be presented, combining artistic spirit and craftsmanship. The installation is nearly one meter wide and half a meter tall, with a core structure composed of 13 meticulously crafted 'pen tips', symbolizing the artist's 13-year journey in the creative field.
